Our Resources

non-unix users (Windows, OS/2, Macintosh, etc)

Those of us on non-unix operating systems such as Windows, OS/2 tend to use a recent PGP version.

unix users

Those of us that use unix-like operating systems such as Linux and the BSD family tend to use GnuPG, an offical GNU imlementation of the OpenPGP standard (RFC 2440).

integration with mailers

Pine
pgpenvelope is popular among the #PGP cast for incorporating GnuPG with Pine, possibly because Dekan develops it.
Mutt
Mutt internally supports GnuPG and several versions of PGP.

Libraries

Perl
GnuPG::Interface is developed by Dekan. This is how pgpenvelope communicates with GnuPG.
